The Richie Martinez Memorial Scholarship
Seniors! Do not miss out on this great opportunity for a scholarship from the family of a Widefield High School alum! This scholarship is ONLY for a Widefield High School senior. Frank Macon Trades Scholarship Charitable Trust
From the streets of Colorado Springs to the skies over Tuskegee. Franklin J. Macon is one of fewer than 100 living Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen. Not everyone wants to fly, but every young person should have a dream and chance to make it come true! Because of this, Frank has chosen to donate the majority of his book proceeds to a trust fund designed to support Colorado young people who would like to make their careers in the skilled trades. Applicants should have strong track records in skilled trades, engineering and hard sciences.

The Mr. Wilson Scholarship is now open!
Mr. Dale Wilson was a beloved math teacher at Talbott Elementary. His son, a WHS graduate, has created a scholarship in honor of his father. The deadline to apply is April 15.
PPCC/Brian Griffith and Jacquelyn Griffith-Allen Memorial Scholarship

Colorado Lions Foundation Educational Scholarship
The Colorado Lions Foundation Educational Scholarship Endowment Fund is awarding four $2500 scholarships. It is not required that the applicant be associated with a Lions Club, but it is required that the applicant be sponsored by a Colorado Lions Club. Fountain Valley Scholars Scholarship
The Fountain Valley Scholars Scholarship is a $750 scholarship that is awarded to students of Widefield High School, Mesa Ridge High School, and Fountain-Fort Carson High Schools. This scholarship is to recognize the great students we have here in the Fountain Valley. If you are one of the recipients of the General Fountain Valley Scholars Scholarship, you will be eligible to receive one of the specialty scholarships.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
The Jackie Robinson Foundation scholarship application is now available!
The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides four-year scholarships of $30,000 and extensive support services, including career guidance and internship placement, to highly motivated African American students who have maintained a 98% college graduation rate.

Metropolitan State University of Denver wants to know: Are You A DREAMer? TheDream.US is now accepting applications!
TheDream.US is now accepting applications for their National and Opportunity Scholarships. TheDream.US is the nation's largest college access and success program for DREAMers. TheDream.US scholarship will cover your tuition and fees up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor's degree at MSU Denver. In addition, you may also be eligible for an additional stipend of up to $1,000/year for books, supplies and transportation.

Colorado Jiffy Lube Teen Driver Scholarship
Your local Colorado Jiffy Lube owners are offering one $3,500 scholarship and two $1,500 scholarship awards to 3 local high school students - students simply have to write about "What Drives You?" Three finalists will be selected from the 500 word "What Drives You?" essays submitted. Each finalist will be guaranteed a minimum $1,500 award if they create and submit a 1-2 minute video that expands on their essay in their own candid words, visuals, etc. The overall $3,500 scholarship winner will be chosen from these videos.

ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Elks National Foundation will award $2.4 million dollars in college scholarships to 500 high school seniors nationwide through its Most Valuable Student (MVS) scholarship contest. Colorado will receive sixteen scholarships. MVS scholarships are available only to high school seniors and applications are judged on academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and financial need. Scholarships are offered identically to male and female students who plan to enroll in an accredited four-year US American college or university. The MVS Scholarship contest will happen online only. Applications are available at mvs.cfm and must be submitted online by the November 15, 2020 deadline.

Spring Junior Workshop Series - Regional Admissions Officers of the Rockies (ROAR)
ROAR is hosting a new Workshop Series for current JUNIORS in April! Students and parents can sign up to attend any of the panels and the College Roundtable sessions. The panels will cover pertinent information juniors and their families will need heading into their college search process such as visiting campuses (in-person or virtually), basics on college admissions and financing the investment, and the various testing options institutions offer. The College Roundtable will be short introductions to 5 universities per session. These will not overlap so students can sign up for as many as they wish without having to choose between schools. There is one registration form for the Roundtables and students will select their desired session(s) during registration. Register Now!

American Legion Auxiliary's Colorado Girl State
This program is the pride and joy of the American Legion Auxiliary and a wonderful opportunity and experience for the young women who attend. This online program runs from June 7, 2021 to June 10, 2021 and will be held virtually this year due to Covid-19. It is designed for young ladies, who have completed their junior and/or senior year (2021 only) of high school, to simulate the Colorado government. They hold elections for public office, write, debate and pass bills. They are taught patriotism and learn the ethics of being a responsible citizen. REGISTER BY MAY 1st.

American Legion Boy's State
American Legion Colorado Boys State is a six-day (July 11 - 16, 2021, at the Hotel Elegante Conference & Event Center, Colorado Springs) hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Colorado government. The American Legion Colorado Boys State program is sponsored by the Colorado American Legion. The program cost is paid for by The American Legion. At Boys State, young men learn about city, county, and state government through a non-partisan objective education approach. The young men also form friendships which will last a lifetime. Boys state is for high school juniors going into their senior year and seniors.

West Point Summer Leadership Experience
Each year the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, invites 1,000 outstanding rising high school seniors from around the country for a six-day immersion into the West Point experience. The Summer Leadership Experience (SLE) is a weeklong program of academic classes, military training, physical fitness training and intramural athletics. This program allows students to experience cadet life and to see first-hand what West Point has to offer.
SLE 2021 will take place in two separate sessions:
Session 1: May 29-June 4, 2021
Session 2: June 5-June11, 2021
