Coach Marjerrison enters his 18th season as a track and field coach and 11th season as head coach of the Widefield Gladiators track and field track and field program.
Marjerrison was a former student at Widefield High School, class of 94, and was a three sport athlete. After high school Coach Marjerrison attended Colorado Mesa University on a Football scholarship. After receiving his BA in Human Performance and Wellness, Coach Marjerrison accepted a teaching job at Widefield High School in the fall of 1998. Since being hired as a Physical Education teacher, Coach Marjerrison has coached football, wrestling, cross country and track and field.
During coach Marjerrison’s tenure as the head track and field for both men’s and women’s programs(05’) the Gladiators have had plenty to brag about. The women have finished in the top 10 at state four times and the men have finished in the top 10 six times. The women have finished in the top 5 two times while the men have finished in the top five four times. Other team accomplishments include: two men’s regional runner-up, one regional title for the women, three league team titles for the men and two league team title for the women.
